Does what it's supposed to do. Can't ask for more.

It works perfect. Leaves a very uniform finish. Just make sure your body is completely clean and only apply a thin coat of this Pre-prep and is just like magic. I used color change paint on top of the surface prep and looks freaking amazing!!!!

Just got done doing a mirror chrome top and must have used too much or too close because the prep spray left it foggy in areas, I'm still pleased with the end product but will try to do this paint job without the prep spray and just wash the top with dish soap.

If you use this product as directed, "a light dusting", one can will last a long time--several short-course bodies. It doesn't go on like spray paint in that you need to apply from further away and in much less quantities. Don't use the color change paints without it. If you tend to "over do" this will run and make swirls in your paint--only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally find the pre-prep spray effective when applied as directed. Two reviewers describe it as a light, thin coat that goes a long way and gives a uniform base for color-change paint. The main recurring problem is over-application: one reviewer reports runs and swirls in the paint from applying too heavily, and another reports fogginess over a mirror-chrome top, likely from too much product or spraying too close. One reviewer said they would try the paint job without the spray next time. Ratings range from 4 to 5 out of 5.

  • + Effective surface prep
  • + Light coat goes a long way
  • + Uniform finish
  • + Works well under color-change paint
  • − Runs and swirls if over-applied
  • − Left fogginess on mirror-chrome finish
  • − Requires careful, thin application
