Spektrum RC 3S Smart LiPo Hard Case 100C Battery Pack w/IC5 Connector (11.1V/5000mAh)
About this part
Spektrum Smart technology LiPo Batteries practically take care of themselves. When combined with a Spektrum™ Smart Battery Charger, the unique parameters, history of the battery and more are all available the instant it’s connected. Charging a Smart Battery is easy as it gets, plus Smart LiPo battery packs are programmable to meet your exact charging needs. But the crowning feature of a Spektrum Smart LiPo battery is that it can be programmed to safely self-discharge to storage condition!
Spektrum Smart technology puts you in complete control, makes you more aware and more confident about the capability of your equipment—all the while making your hobby easier. The combined result will make you wish everything about your hobby was “smarter.”
You’ll never have to set charge preferences for a Spektrum Smart battery until you want to. When a Spektrum Smart LiPo battery is connected to a Spektrum Smart charger, unique parameters and health of that Smart LiPo battery upload from the Smart memory microchip integrated into the battery. Through the charger, you can view and set preferences, such as charge rates, so that all you have to do to charge the pack every time is press the charger “Start” button. Smart technology takes care of the rest.
Every Smart LiPo battery is factory assembled with the next-generation IC3 or IC5 output connector that’s conveniently compatible with older devices equipped with robust EC3 and EC5 connectors. You can use Smart Batteries with older systems, but only when connected to a Spektrum Smart device will all the benefits of Smart technology become obvious.
Spektrum Smart LiPo Batteries Store Unique Data, such as:
- Battery Brand
- Battery Type
- Battery Capacity
- Battery C Rating
- Individual Cell Voltage
- Battery Temperature
- Charge/Discharge Cycles
Spektrum Smart LiPo batteries also maintain an error log including the number of over-heat, over-discharge and over-charge incidents which can be helpful data in assuring that the battery you’ve chosen is right for the application. A Smart Battery uploads its charge parameters to a Spektrum Smart Charger automatically making charging as simple as pressing the “Start” button. The charge rate of every Smart Battery is customizable, allowing you to take full advantage of packs with faster charge ratings.

Hello. Avoid these if you can and buy Gens Ace instead (sad to say, but Gens is so much better for hard bashing). I did not buy them from amain due to shipping restrictions, however, we own 4 of these 100C 3S LIPO's for an Arrma Kraton 6S v5. HH support is VERY hard to get a hold of...they take many WEEKS to respond to messages. Also, warranty is non-existent and is not properly honored in Canada despite claims that they do even by their Canadian retailers. Based on our experience, these batteries are NOT suitable for "bashing" in 6S Arrma cars. We had the same issue with 4x 50C Spectrum batteries for our other Notorious 6s V5. One pair of 100C lasted only 3.5 months, another pair lasted only 6 months (with much charging issues using SP150 or Dynamite Prophet charges)...despite excellent LIPO care, these are very weak and cannot handle 6S bashing, high jumps, etc. We have Gens Ace 50C, 4 month old, which have taken MORE "punishment" than these HH batteries...and Gens Ace still almost as good as new!
Height of battery is 35mm not 25mm. Two of these will not fit a Typhon 6s.
Love the spektrum line. The features of the smart system are so handy. They also take a heck of a beating. Which I’m sure the hard case helps with but I’ve had other brands of hard cased lipo batts that were crap and didn’t take near the bouncing and banging these do in my trucks. All we buy now are Spektrum smart lipos. Money well spent.
I have had this battery for a little under a week and the battery doesn’t even charger anymore it has have 4 cycles so far of a charge and it won’t take a charge anymore I have contacted spektrum to see if they can ratify the situation somehow. It also has only been charged on a spektrum charger s155 g2 smart charger
Great product, these batteries can always be trusted
Reviews are mixed, averaging around 3.4 out of 5. Reviewers praise the Smart system features and say the hard case holds up well to heavy bashing in some trucks. Several praise the product as reliable and powerful. Criticism centres on durability in 6S Arrma-class bashing, where one reviewer reports a pair lasting about 3.5 months, and on slow manufacturer support and weak warranty handling in Canada. One reviewer reports a battery that stopped accepting charge within a week. Another notes the pack height is 35mm rather than the 25mm expected, so two packs do not fit a Typhon 6S. Some reviewers say comparable batteries are available at better prices. Several reviews are brief or unclear.

- + Hard case handles impacts well
- + Strong power output
- + Reliable for some owners
