About the DX Rugged+
12-Channels
12-fully proportional channels allow for more flexibility and versatile control for auxiliary systems such as winches, lights, etc. It's also physically lightweight so that there's less fatigue on you during long trips, plus it's easy to transport with all of your rigs.
Interface
The capacitive interface to allow a tap instead of a swipe. This makes the panel much easier to use, and the sensitivity can be adjusted easily inside the radio's programming. This interface was also designed to operate flawlessly in a variety of environmental conditions. The backlit LCD display on the DX Rugged+ helps users navigate the intuitive software easily in any setting.

I have been using this in some pretty wet conditions with no issues so far. The touch buttons take some getting use to but once you find the right spots to push it becomes really easy. The trigger is fantastic.
Bad experience with this radio system. Always "will it connect?" anxiety. Even after updating firmware, functionality was hit or miss. Went through several $99 receivers. That's unacceptable in this price range. The menu system sucks. Especially with regard to gyro adjustability. Three different menu items to adjust sensitivity instead of a simple adjustment knob. Rugged? The rubber stuff is coming off after two years. I replaced this $300 POS with a $69 system with better functionality, better menu, and a gyro sensitivity knob, and it works EVERY TIME I turn it on!! And spare receivers are only $16! Not $99.
