This transmitter far exceeded my expectations. I have been able to reverse servos, program several airplanes and it easy to use and understand! Just a great investment!
Does it all for me with only voice alerts missing (thankfully!). Easy to set up, has all the servo mixing and control functions needed for my aircraft (90% gliders and e-gliders, 10% park flyers). Hard to beat a Spektrum TX (tons of support) unless you go Open-TX with a Jumper (almost no support) :)
The DX6e is the first air transmitter I've ever bought and used. I paired it with a Blade 150 s. It has worked very well for the application. Registering it, downloading updates and installing them all went very smoothly. I absolutely love that I was able to download a profile for my helicopter which applied all of the settings as well as unique profiles for each operating mode of the helicopter. I'd buy another one without hesitation.
I picked it up for fun to take advantage of some of the bind and fly models. It works fine with my little Blade Nano S2. Fast learning curve but I’m also used to using another brand high end heli radio so I know how hard to is to program some transmitters. If you are just starting out in any flying models this is a good budget transmitter to pickup. Be warned though it eats AA batteries. I had a small lipo pack hanging around and use it for power. Just make sure you select lipo in the system menu if you go that route. All in all a good transmitter. If your budget can spare it I would select one of higher priced models that have the rechargeable battery and 8 channels. It’s my first look at a Spektrum product. Back in 1976 I bought a Kraft KP4A. It had nothing but 2 sticks and four channels. It was $400. That was a lot of lawns mowed. Things sure have come a long way.
