Spektrum RC Firma 2-in-1 Brushless ESC & Motor Crawler System (2300Kv)

Buyer beware!!!!! This gosh damn motor ESC combo has been on backorder for months upon months. I finally got the email from amain stating it was available. I purchased without any incident as usual from amain. The motor ESC combo sat on my shelf for 2 weeks as I had to finish a previous build.I then Installed it in my G-speed build and didn't even get through a full battery pack.(45 minutes max) Now I will say, For the 45 minutes that I was crawling the motor was absolutely amazing.!!! One of the best modulating motors I've ever had, super smooth and super responsive very consistent also none of my cars are RTR All of them are very custom, so the fact that this motor ESC combo is smaller than the hobbywing equivalent. I was really stoked. Every millimeter helps. Anyway, I heard a clicking in the front axle obviously unrelated to the motor. As I went to pick up the car and start my diagnosis on the axle, I noticed the car would only steer No forward to reverse, anybody who drives RC knows that that's indicating that your battery is dead. So I replaced the battery, Still only steering. Tried another battery, Same result. I Took it home and gave it a good look over. Everything is put in correctly and exactly as the manufacturer recommends,I simply cannot get it to do anything, at all, I changed the batteries in my remote. I tried a different receiver and transmitter. I even went as far as to install it in another car just to be absolutely sure The power button just stays red no matter what you do. There's something wrong with the motor without a doubt. it will only steer. I've tried everything in the book to fix it. Now to be fair I haven't contacted there customer service as of yet, it only happened yesterday and tomorrow is the 4th of July, but there is absolutely no reason why this should have happened I did not swamp my car or hit it really hard in a wreck or impact of any kind.!! luckily I had a hobbywing ax motor/ESC combo in the box on the shelf that will fit in the custom build. I write tons of positive reviews and honestly never write negative reviews. I just simply don't use the product if it's bad, but this motor is expensive and very difficult to purchase one as they're always on back order I strongly urge anybody that wants this motor to purchase the hobby wing version I have several hobbywing fusion motors in the 1800KV and never have I had any issues. Do not buy this motor!!!! The only saving grace will be THEIR customer service and how they handle this. I WANT TO BE VERY CLEAR TO ANYBODY READING THIS REVIEW I AM NOT EXAGGERATING IN ANY WAY THE MOTOR DID NOT OVERHEAT IT DID NOT GET SWAMPED AND IT DID NOT SUFFER ANY KIND OF IMPACT OR HARD TRAUMA. It's just a piece of crap!!!

Great unit. Easy to setup and has tons of power. The item does not come with the Program Card (V2) so make sure you pick that up if you want to program the combo different than stock.

Hands down my new favorite motor. I have the 2300kv and there's plenty of slow speed control for those super technical lines and super smooth power delivery. But it also has more than enough top speed for any trail walk.

Perfect upgrade for my TRX4. Lots of power easy to program.

Easy to install and program. Throttle control is fantastic and makes for a very smooth trailing experience. I have about 4 hours and 5 trail miles of use on this motor so far and everything is still perfect. This my first brushless setup in a crawler, so I have nothing to compare it to. But I can say that this Spektrum 2 in 1 is incredible and has greatly enhanced my r/c experience.
