The charger has worked well so far and is easy to use.
Great charger charges my 4s and 2s lipos fast. I like that you can charge other batteries with it not just the smart batteries
This is one of the best charger I have owned Lots of features. Would highly reccomend.
It works as it should. I got it on sale for a good price. Cool charger for small scale setups. The manual says you can override the auto settings. I tried increasing the AMP output to 6 amps when charging larger packs . Like 6S 5000mah packs. The highest I could get it to charge at was 4.4 amps. Takes a good long time to charge a that rate. If you are charging smaller packs for foaming airplanes and micro heli"s it would be great charger for that. It does have some great features for smart batteries that I really like. I only gave it 3 stars. If would have charged at a higher output I would have rated it higher. I would but it again.
I bought this charger as an upgrade from the Spektrum USB charger that came with my Promoto-SM. It seems well-built, the cooling fan is quiet and I like the various options available in the menu system to help charge batteries how you want to charge them. I feel it is well worth the extra money over the S155 (I had concerns about it not having an active cooling fan), and am happy with my purchase. I just charged a Spektrum G2 2s 5000maH 50c LiPo smart battery from 8% charge to 100% charge in 55 minutes.
Reviewers generally find the S1100 G2 charger easy to use and well built, with praise for its menu options, quiet cooling fan, and smart battery support. Several note it charges LiPo packs quickly, including a 2S 5000mAh smart battery reported charged from 8% to 100% in about 55 minutes. One reviewer wanted higher output for large 6S packs, reporting a maximum of 4.4A rather than the 6A they tried, and found charging slow at that rate. One reviewer reported the charger would not charge a 6-cell NiMH pack while handling LiPos normally, and said Spektrum had not resolved it. One review was from a buyer who had not yet used the charger and did not assess it.
- + Easy to use
- + Quiet cooling fan
- + Many menu options and charge settings
- + Fast charging of smart LiPo batteries
- − Maximum charge current limited to 4.4A on large 6S packs
- − Slow charging at high pack capacities
- − Will not charge 6-cell NiMH packs (single report)
- − No resolution from manufacturer for NiMH issue
