So far, so good. Only a 1/2 dozen charges on G2 4S batteries and everything works. Will be adding a few more G2 batteries in 2 & 3S soon. Amain ROCKS!
So I ordered the 1400 Spektrum charger from Amain Hobbies and received an open box with a charger that rattled from a screw inside the unit. They quickly shipped me another, and I shipped the defective back at no cost to me. The second one also arrived as an open box and had an internal rattle from a broken standoff. Customer service apologized again and offered me the S2200 upgrade due to the inconvenience. THESE FOLKS ARE A TRUE EXAMPLE OF WHAT PREMIUM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. They are now my first stop for purchasing all my RC needs, and even if their prices are higher, which I have yet to experience, I will still buy from them because Customer service at this level is hard to come by. Thank you, Amain, for taking my call and helping me. It turns out that Tower, who owns Spektrum, has been sending out some compromised products to retailers.
Excellent Customer Service!!! This is a great product, had a little broken piece from shipping, contacted customer service and they were superfast to send return label and send a new charger!! Thank you!
Bananas! This is a phenomenal charger. I have been using the S2100 for the last 2-3 years due to its compact size to have more pit space. This, while slightly larger, packs a much heavier punch. Simple to use and understand while maintaining a small section of my pit area. Hats off to Spektrum.
Excellent, smart charger easy to use with smart battery or regular Lipo battery lot of info so you can monitor your battery vitals
Reviewers generally rate this dual-channel AC LiPo charger highly, praising fast charging, easy operation with Spektrum smart batteries, and detailed battery monitoring. Several note it is pricey and proprietary, and one suggests a more contrasting balance plug colour. Customer service from the seller received strong praise in multiple reviews, including replacements for units that arrived damaged. One verified owner reported repeated overheat shutdowns and a storage-charge channel that kept running after finishing, though the charger and cables were not warm to the touch. Reviews are mostly 5-star, with one 2-star and one 4-star review; the one negative report concerns reliability rather than the charging performance praised elsewhere.
- + Fast charging on two channels

- + Compact for its output
- − High price and proprietary system
- − Black-on-black balance plug hard to pair
- − Overheat shutdowns reported by one owner
- − Storage charge channel kept running after finishing
