Spektrum RC SR315 3-Channel DSMR Sport Surface Receiver
About this part
The SR315 also features a modern case design that is small, streamlined, and ready for nearly any RC application. The case also features added antenna support and an integrated antenna tube slot for seamlessly easy installation.
No more bind plugs! Instead, an easy-to-use bind button is used to enter the bind mode. Plus, while binding, you have the choice of SmartSafe™ as well as preset ‘Gas’ failsafe options. All combined, Spektrum gives drivers more features in an affordable receiver, so you can drive with confidence.
Compact Design
The SR315 is capable of being placed in very small and tight builds. Unnecessary angles were eliminated to streamline the receiver casing and to make installation easier than ever before. The case also features added antenna support and an integrated antenna tube slot for those custom models that do not provide a route for the antenna installation.
Bind Button
Updated technology eliminates the need for the old bind plug. With The SR315 a top-located button makes binding more convenient than ever while two bind-sequence options make the process simpler by allowing you to bind while powering up or after receiver power is connected.
Gas Mode Failsafe
Built into The SR315 is Spektrum's failsafe mode for surface applications, Gas Mode Failsafe. Easily selectable during binding, Gas Mode allows users to preset the failsafe position of all available channels. Additionally drivers can utilize SmartSafe ™ failsafe which drops throttle to the lowest point and holds the last known command on the rest of the available channels.
Features:
- Streamlined design in a compact and lightweight hard-case
- Bind-button eliminates the need for a bind plug
- SmartSafe™ Failsafe and Preset "Gas Mode" Failsafe options
- Outstanding range and 5.5ms capable DSMR technology
- Ideal for nearly any surface RC model

Works great, no problems at all. Already had an SR310 as that's what came with my Losi RTR nitro buggy that I took my electronics from for my Tekno nitro buggy. The SR310 worked fine and didn't give me any trouble, so when I got a Tekno ebuggy, I figured I'd get another SR310. Turns out that was discontinued and replaced with this SR315. No big deal, seems like it ought to only be as good or better. Well, that's exactly how it turned out -- the SR315 has performed flawlessly for me, and even surprised me with a voltage meter appearing on the screen of my DX5C radio for the Rx when I have my ebuggy selected and powered on (that space on the screen is blank when driving the nitro buggy that still has the old SR310). I rarely ever bind receivers since I don't change radio equipment often, but that's still nice having the button rather than the bind plug. Of course I wish the price was a bit lower but I suppose I can live with it given how well it's worked. I will buy another if I add an additional RC car to my fleet.
Pros: No more bind plug/connector. One button bind is life-changing. Cons: I ran a Spektrum DX3R receiver and had some initial issues with the setup but was eventually able to pair it with my receiver. Recommendation: None.
After a little dust got in my receiver box it started to glitch, second spektrum receiver in a month with defects. Probably have to stick to the 2 channel instead, spending to much money and things don’t work after two weeks. Not cool.
Three verified owners reviewed the SR315 receiver. Two rated it 5/5, one rated it 1/5. The positive reviewers report flawless performance and say it works as a replacement for the discontinued SR310. One noted it displays receiver voltage on a DX5C radio when the ebuggy model is selected. Both praised the one-button bind, which removes the need for a bind plug. One of them had initial pairing problems when using a DX3R transmitter but later paired it successfully. The negative reviewer reported glitching after dust entered the receiver box, and said it was their second Spektrum receiver to fail within a month. The reviews are few and conflicting, so reliability conclusions are uncertain.
- + Performs reliably for one owner
- + One-button bind, no bind plug needed
- + Shows receiver voltage on DX5C radio
- − Glitched after dust got into receiver box
- − Initial pairing difficulty with DX3R transmitter
- − Reported failure within weeks of purchase
