Absolute garbage. Leaked within ten minutes of use. Blead properly and can't use them. Tried a little thicker oil, same result. Now I'm stuck with something I can't use. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SHOCKS!

Work decent on my deadbolt but most likely will switch to some 100mm soon. These shocks work fine and seem to be built well I just want more travel.

These shock started to leak after couple of runs... I liked them anyway so i give them 4 stars, but just keep in mind you might experienced the same. Maybe new improved o rings would do the trick.

Very inconsistent. How the hell 2 shocks can be put in the same bag without being checked to make sure they both slide properly first I don't understand. This is BS. One moves freely, the other has literally too much resistance to even function.

Preston PoirierVerified owneron SSD RC Pro Scale 90mm Shocks (Silver/Black)

Not that great. The shocks bump stop is the valve puck inside the shock. After so long that can not be good. 0 customer service from ssd. Shocks bottom out 2mm before full compression because it hits the valve puck in the shock body.

What reviewers say

Reviewers are divided on these shocks. Two reviewers report smooth action and no leaks, one of whom uses them with Traxxas GTS springs for tuning. Three reviewers report leaking, with one saying it occurred within minutes and another after a couple of runs. Two reviewers describe inconsistent damper action between shocks in the same pack, with one shock sliding freely and the other offering too much resistance. One reviewer reports that the valve puck acts as the bump stop, causing bottoming out about 2mm early, and reports poor customer service. One reviewer finds them adequate but wants more travel. The recurring problems are leaking and inconsistent fit or action between units.

  • + Smooth action
  • + No leaks for some owners
  • + Fits Traxxas GTS springs
  • + Built well
  • − Leaks after short use
  • − Inconsistent action between shocks
  • − Bottoms out early on valve puck
  • − Poor customer service
