Does not fit the front of a TRX-4. Rubs the transfer case to the point that it will not turn. Don't buy for a TRX-4.
This driveshaft will destroy the transmission in your Trx-4 R/C. It is too short and has no where near enough travel in the slip yoke. It also rubs the factory transmission wearing a crevice out into the side of the transmission and it has so much slop and flop in it it works the mounting screw loose. Terrible product for the Traxxas TRX-4 R/C and will absolutely mess your vehicle up bad. Do not use.
Better than mip this thing is a beast. I'm running 110 mm shocks on my trx4 without the long arm travel kit and I have destroyed every drive shaft including MIP this is the first one that has held up and fits perfect. I don't know what the other review I seen on here was saying that it rubbed on the trx4 I have had no issues with rubbing
These SSD shafts in any length are my go to! They are heavy duty and look great.
Awesome driveshaft from ssd. Also fits the gladiator model of the scx10-iii.
Reviews are split. Two verified owners rated it 1/5, reporting that it does not fit a TRX-4 front, rubs the transfer case or transmission, and has excess slop in the slip yoke, with one reporting the mounting screw worked loose. Three verified owners rated it 5/5, describing it as durable and a good fit, including one running 110 mm shocks without a long-arm travel kit and one reporting it also fits a Gladiator SCX10-III. The negative reviews specifically concern TRX-4 fitment, while the positive reviews share the strength and fit claims. The disagreement on TRX-4 fit is unresolved in these reviews.
