If you grew up in the Eighties the Tamiya Avante was the pinnacle of Rc buggies. The 2011 rere is a throwback with modern day improvements that stay true to the original. Whether you decide to run it or put it on a shelf it will put a smile on you’re face .

I had always heard of this being a well made kit and it really is. It's extremely different from your average Tamiya buggy kit, you'll notice that as soon as you open the box. While I normally buy alot of upgraded parts for my Tamiya kits, it just is not necessary for the Avante. I now understand why there are hardly any upgraded parts made for this kit, it comes with all the usual Tamiya upgrades. Very impressive and fun build.
