The Tamiya Honda Civic SiR EG6 TT-02D 1/10 4WD Drift Spec Touring Car Kit recreates the Honda Civic SiR (EG6). The EG was known as the "Sport Civic" in Japan, and was the fifth generation of the famous car. It had a vibrant look, said-to-be inspired by the famous Brazilian carnival atmosphere. The Civic had a 170hp inline-4 DOHC VTEC engine under the bonnet of the top-spec SiR hatchback, which made for plenty of power at the time. The car was a regular sight in Japanese and international racing competitions.

The TT-02 chassis on which this Honda Civic is mounted on is an amazing machine. The TT-02 chassis is an entry-level 4WD full independent suspension assembly kit that offers ease of assembly and easy maintenance. The TT-02D is the Drift Spec variant that includes special parts to make it a fun to drive drifting machine. This specific kit includes a Hobbywing THW-1060 Brushed ESC for incredible performance.

TT-02D Chassis - Drift Version

Enjoy the thrill of drifting with this specially tuned drift spec version of the TT-02 chassis. The chassis features drift-specific parts such as 24mm width drift tires (fitted to stylish matte-finish metal-plated wheels), and CVA shock units on the 4-wheel double wishbone suspension. Full ball bearings, an aluminum motor heat sink, a sport-tuned motor and an ESC are included as standard equipment. Of course, the chassis retains the original TT-02's excellent drivability, ease of maintenance, and adaptability.

Another great kit from Tamiya! I wanted to build this kit before I commented on it so now that I have here my opinion! I've built a TT01E over 10 years ago and that car is so dailed in any body can drive it! Now I didn't go crazy on this build, this kit has just about everything you need to get top performance out of it. The only upgrade I did was the speed gears and replaced the main shaft to aluminum. Easy build for sure! The body is awesome, but again tamiya has the best detail body kits out there. I have to confess I didn't get this to have a drift car,I don't feel this is a drift car. But as a on road car it is very capable and has everything you need. Handles very well and power is decent. If your looking for an on road car this is it! For the money you won't find a better deal. All tamiya kits have some room for improvement but this one is just about perfect.

Love the car! Enjoyed every second of this project! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I was expecting a more complex build. Although is was my first build, it only took me two days to complete. I made the decision to purchase at Amain hobbies, I kept hearing the name on YouTube videos as I was researching RC cars. They did have the lowest price and they delivered the box in amazing condition. I’m happy with this store.
