Fun as RC can be. Pep it up with a Torque tuned motor and this is a perfect first RC for building and jumping. My eleven year old did it with ease and enjoyment which will spawn a hobby for life.
Love this RC wanted it for years !it arrieved within 2 days of ordering the kit
2015 monster beetle update, needs a few more standard updates. 1st the wires from the motor to esc were to short. 2nd the on/switch, does not mount into the plate supplied, tiny switch. Overall the build was fun. Just be ready to solder in wire extensions to motor, and get creative to mount on/off switch.
The Monster Beetle looks absolutely stunning in my cabinet
Four verified owners rated this kit 4 to 5 out of 5. Reviewers describe the build as fun and suitable as a first RC, with one noting their eleven-year-old completed it easily. Delivery was reported as quick. The main recurring issue is that the included motor wires are too short, requiring extensions, and the on/off switch is small and does not fit the supplied mounting plate, so owners had to improvise. One reviewer praised the appearance of the finished model, though this is a display comment rather than a performance one. Reviews do not address long-term durability or driving performance in detail.
