About this part

This is a 100ml can of Tamiya PS-15 Metallic Red Lexan Spray Paint. These spray paints were developed especially for decorating transparent polycarbonate bodies used in R/C car modeling. Each can contains 100ml of paint, which is the appropriate amount for finishing one 1/10 scale model.

Painting polycarbonate bodies is done from the inside of the body shell as opposed to the outside of a traditional plastic model. When spraying body from the inside, keep the can about 30cm from the surface. After curing apply another coat as necessary. These paints are impervious to oil and fuels, so they can be safely used on gas-powered R/C bodies.

Warning: Never use these paints on plastic models.

Tamiya paint is great. Good coverage and sprays evenly. I'm not an experience painter but still can get fantastic results with Tamiya paint.

It seems the metallic paint is always translucent no matter how many coats you apply! I laid down 4 layers on a 1/10 body and ran out, only to find my backing color impact the final result way more than a normal paint would. Learn from my mistake - don't keep spraying this color hoping it'll turn solid, but instead prepare with a backing coat to make it opaque.

Its red, a nice vibrant red, was enough to paint 1 1/10 scale body.

Great color and it was super easy to spray. I ordered one can for my stampede body. I applied 3 coats and back it with white and it came out amazing. Still have plenty left in the can. Highly recommend it.
