Followed a similar process as the first reviewer. Backing it with black really makes the color pop for Subaru kit. I only needed one can for 4 coats on 1/10 scale body.
Needed two cans for an 1/8 scale rally body. started with light coats followed by heavier coats with 15-20 minutes in between, and backed with black. Made for the perfect Subaru blue look.
Came out perfect would definitely use this product again.
Color absolutely pops in the sun, Love it! Just another great color from tamiya.
Tamiya paint is great. Good coverage and sprays evenly. I'm not an experience painter but still can get fantastic results with Tamiya paint.
Nine reviews, all five-star and all for the 100ml Tamiya PS-16 Metallic Blue Lexan spray paint, with no variant mismatch noted. Reviewers consistently praise the colour, especially its brightness in sunlight and its deep appearance when backed with black, and several describe a Subaru-style blue finish. Application is described as easy, with good coverage and even spraying, and reviewers report usable results even for less experienced painters. Coat count varies: one reviewer used one can for four coats on a 1/10 body, while another needed two cans for an 1/8 rally body using light then heavier coats with 15 to 20 minutes between them. No problems or disagreements are reported. Several reviews are brief, so the evidence is limited to general satisfaction.
