This is a great color for tinted windows/windscreens, or smoked out headlights/taillights, or offroad wings. As with any other paint, watching for wet spots and waiting 15-20 minutes between coats produces great results and the paint is durable.
Have had good luck using this to tint windows on 1/10 TC bodies. Prefers to be sprayed a little thicker than other Tamiya paint and dries better when kept at room temperature. Heat in a warm bowl of water before spraying for best effect.
Want tinted windows? This is it. Also works good for a backing on translucent colors to get a darker color shift with silver paint!
This paint is trash painted my body gave it a hole day to dry next day took the window mask off painted with ps-31 and it started to eat the rest of my paint wouldn’t recommend this if you like your paint job and thanks to this poor product my $65 is trash
Reviewers largely praise this smoke-tint Lexan spray for window tinting on RC bodies, including tinted windscreens, smoked lights and offroad wings, and as a darkening backing under silver for translucent colours. Three verified owners report good results, noting that thicker coats, 15-20 minute drying between coats, and room-temperature storage help, and one suggests warming the can. One unverified reviewer reports the paint attacked existing paint on their body after the window masking was removed the next day, calling the product unsuitable. The sample is small and the single negative review conflicts with the others.
