About this part

This is a 100ml can of Tamiya PS-33 Cherry Red Lexan Spray Paint. These spray paints were developed especially for decorating transparent polycarbonate bodies used in R/C car modeling. Each can contains 100ml (3oz) of paint, which is the appropriate amount for finishing one 1/10 scale model.

Painting polycarbonate bodies is done from the inside of the body shell as opposed to the outside of a traditional plastic model. When spraying body from the inside, keep the can about 30cm from the surface. After curing apply another coat as necessary. These paints are impervious to oil and fuels, so they can be safely used on gas-powered R/C bodies.

Warning: Never use these paints on plastic models.

What reviewers say

Three verified owners reviewed the Tamiya PS-33 Cherry Red Lexan Spray Paint (100ml). The main point of agreement is that the colour reads as pink rather than red, which is the central disagreement: one reviewer, rating it 5/5, describes it as a deep cherry pink and a bright, eye-catching colour they keep on hand, while two reviewers rating it 1/5 say it looks pink with nothing red or cherry about it and feel disappointed with the colourway. The reviews do not comment on coverage, durability or application. Because the sample is small and the ratings split sharply, the colour impression should be treated as the key uncertainty.

  • + Bright, eye-catching colour
  • + Deep cherry pink tone praised by one reviewer
  • − Colour appears pink rather than red
  • − Does not match the cherry red name for two reviewers
