About this part

This is a 100ml can of Tamiya PS-37 Translucent Red Lexan Spray Paint. These spray paints were developed especially for decorating transparent polycarbonate bodies used in R/C car modeling. Each can contains 100ml (3oz) of paint, which is the appropriate amount for finishing one 1/10 scale model.

Painting polycarbonate bodies is done from the inside of the body shell as opposed to the outside of a traditional plastic model. When spraying body from the inside, keep the can about 30cm from the surface. After curing apply another coat as necessary. These paints are impervious to oil and fuels, so they can be safely used on gas-powered R/C bodies.

Warning: Never use these paints on plastic models.

Perfect paint color for taillights. Durable as any other Tamiya paint.

Wayne Nagataon Tamiya PS-37 Translucent Red Lexan Spray Paint (100ml)

Has anyone had issues with PS 37 clear red pealing off after an impact like enamel paint? This use to be my favorite color until this started happening to me. further my friend also had a similar issue. I hope they have corrected this.

What reviewers say

Three reviews, two of them from verified owners. Both verified reviewers rate the paint highly, praising its translucent red colour for taillights and its durability, comparable to other Tamiya paints. One unverified reviewer, rating it 1/5, reports the paint peeling after impact, similar to enamel paint, and says a friend had the same problem. The reviews disagree on durability, and the sample is small, so the peeling report cannot be confirmed or put in context.

  • + Translucent red colour suited to taillights
