As I was painting the body the paint was getting darker and darker, so now I have a body with a green to yellow fade and it’s not from the black base coat not impressed at all. I might of just got a bad can who knows this is not what I expected from Tamiya I have never had problems with there paint and have been using Tamiya paint for years.
Poor coverage. Go with two cans for 1/10 touring car bodies
Not sure what other people are having problems with, but sprayed 2 light coats followed with a final medium wet coat, hair dryer between coats, and finish backing coat in PS1 white. Looks great.
Great paint, goes on uniformly, doesn't chip. Color seems accurate. What more can I say?
Reviewers are divided on the Tamiya PS-6 Yellow Lexan Spray Paint (100ml). Two reviewers rated it 2/5, one reporting a green-to-yellow colour fade on a painted body that they attributed possibly to a bad can, and another reporting poor coverage requiring two cans for a 1/10 touring car body. Two reviewers rated it 5/5, describing even coverage, good durability without chipping, and accurate colour, with one using a multi-coat technique with light coats, drying between coats and a white backing coat. The colour fade and coverage issues are the main negatives, while the positive reviews describe good results when applied with careful technique.
