I got this because I have the Squash van and love the the chassis. Only thing I added to my first kit was ball bearings. The stock shock are actually fairly good. Great for back yard bashing, and well just about anywhere you can go. It's great right out of the box, does exactly what it needs to. Great easy build for first timers too. The 4 wheel steering is cool if you want to try it but again performs good with 2 wheel steering. One thing I don't really see any one mentioning is how to install screws. Like all tamiya kits some of the plastic is hard and if your doing it by hand, it can get tiring. So just a little grease on screw makes it so much better to install and if you do have to work on it later does help. Seems like your less likely to strip out the hole also. Just a really all around fun unit that just runs and runs. Haven't broken it yet either!
Fun and easy build, tamiya quality of course. Cutting the air ducts out of body, is a little challenging. I used a Dremel with a thin diamond attachment, works great. This kit EATS up bearings. I put 28 bearings in gears, chassis, stering knuckles and wheels altogether. Of course you can use the plastic ones in the kit also. But I don't recommend it. This kit also includes all parts to make it 4 wheel stering if you desire. You'd need 32 bearings if you did this.
