Great tool, removes all the air from your shocks very quickly. Very easy to use. Makes shock oil changes a breeze and no wasted time waiting for the air bubbles. Highly recommended. Fits 1/8 scale shocks.
Very good tool! Used it for 2 years, no problems at all. Removes all air from shocks and makes changing shock oil a breeze.
Coolest tool EVER well not quite. But it works like a hot damn!! This is the stuff it works, sucks air right out of your shocks. Now rebuilding isn't a pain no longer having to wait for the lil bubbles to come up. A must have tool for any RC racer!! And is good quality durable design hold vacuum for very long time.
As I have seen in the past with all the Tamiya products I've had, this product is of high quality and works great. This is a must have tool if you rebuild alot of shocks or want precision bleeding. How did I rebuild shocks before this tool?!
The older design case was much better, with one solid piece. I have no idea what this is, with the multiple seals that will fail. All tamiya did was screw up a good tool, & the only improvement it needed was a taller clear cup, the solid volume spacer tube to hold the shocks are gone, so it takes much longer to get the bubbles out, aside for having to do more pumps, & keep re-pumping to keep a seal. Very annoying that I have to return this.
Most reviewers (11 of 13 are 4 or 5 stars) report that the Tamiya Shock Oil Air Removal Tool removes air from shocks and diffs quickly and simplifies rebuilds and oil changes, with several noting it is cheaper than competing systems. Reviewers mention use with 1/8, 1/10, 12mm and 10mm shocks. Two-star and one-star reviews describe a different problem: one reports the tool sucking air when extended on 1/8 shocks after a few uses, and another reports the unit breaking after one use. A one-star reviewer says the newer design with multiple seals is worse than the older one-piece case and has a shorter spacer tube, requiring repeated pumping to keep a seal. Reviewers do not describe whether these complaints are widespread.
