This is a Tamiya 1/14 Tankpool24 Mercedes Actros 4WD On-Road Semi Truck, an impressive model that recreates the Mercedes Actros as raced by the Tankpool24 team in the 2019 ETRC (European Truck Racing Championship). This specific recreation depicts the truck that carried the team to 4th place on the year, with veteran Hungarian driver Norbert Kiss 6th overall in the drivers’ standings. The realistic body is a 3-piece set made from lightweight and durable polycarbonate, with separately molded plastic side mirrors, coupler and rear bumper parts. The TT-01 Type-E chassis is a proven performer, and this chassis is fitted with dedicated semi-truck wheels and tires for the model.
The bathtub frame of the evolved shaft-driven 4WD TT-01 Type-E has its motor and battery close to the ground for lower center of gravity and optimum balance. Mounted on the bathtub frame is a fiberglass reinforced nylon upper deck and gear covers improving rigidity, as well as a 3-piece tie rod providing a smoother steering action. The low center of gravity, great balanced design, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension system, and front and rear differential gears all come together to produce excellent operating ability. 70mm-diameter radial tires are paired with wheels developed just for this model; the high sidewalls make for forgiving turns.

My Euro Truck arrived in a timely fashion and was in perfect condition. Truck assembly was straight forward. Body assembly was a bit more involved, but if you follow instructions, it goes together quite well. Recommend using 3mm screws for body assembly as the tiny supplied screws were quite fiddly, especially if you have large hands like me. Otherwise I’m very pleased with my purchase from Amain Hobbies. Would definitely buy from them again.
Love these trucks. The kit is super fun to put together and the bodies are really durable. The cab can be a challenge to assemble but once it's complete it's pretty satisfying. I've raced these trucks indoors and have found the Mercedes my favorite on track. Great value for money and replacement parts are cheap and easy to get from Amain.
Love this kit. It is a basic entry level chassis that is as solid as it gets. It tough it handles well but the best part of it is the tamiya body. It is quite a bit of work to get the body together but the finished product is top notch and is to be expected of tamiya. The only thing that I will hold back and not give it 5 starts is that it does not come with bearings which I 100% suggest to purchase when you get the kit.
I order 85% of what I need for my mugen mtc2 and my tamiya euro truck. Always fast deliveries and on time and early sometime. Thanks
