My experience with this engine has been mostly positive, with the exception of a lack of power. The build quality appears to be fairly low, but it's a cheap engine so what can you expect. This is not the engine you want to buy if you're planning to build a runner. For a shelf queen to occasionally take out in a parking lot, perfect. I've heard a lot of complaints about getting this engine to tune and keep running, but mine has been pretty good in that regard. Look for other .12 options out there if you're planning to race this thing, and you should because the GT is very capable with a few minor upgrades.

Super stoked to finally receive it, however, there was no clutch, flywheel, collet, bearings, nut or air filter.those items are clearly depicted in the advertisement. These items are not cheap and add up. I would give less stars, but it's really cool that I can bring back to life a classic from my teen years.

Runs great! Started right up out of the box. Going in NMMTPA Super Stock.

What reviewers say

Reviewers give this .15 nitro engine mixed-to-positive ratings (3 to 5 out of 5, all verified owners). One reviewer found it runs well and started easily out of the box, and another reports good tuning and running, though a third notes it is more of a shelf or light-duty engine. The 3-star reviewer cites low power and fairly low build quality, and advises it is not suited to racing, recommending other .12 options. A separate reviewer reported that the package was missing a clutch, flywheel, collet, bearings, nut and air filter, which were shown in the advertisement. Reviews do not clearly indicate whether this missing-parts issue is widespread. Reviews are few in number.
