I got these cause some people said they were needed to keep the transmission running smooth. I had no problem with my 6.2 series of truck with the transmission case for my buggy or sct. I did open the bags to inspect the parts you can see the numbers easier than the plastic models. I ran the plastic for 2 races no problems and the bearing held great in the plastic. Have yet to run these and probably will wait till the plastic wear out.

Aluminum diff height inserts to replace the stock composite parts. I got these to beef up the drivetrain on my SC6.1 when doing a drag conversion.

What reviewers say

All three reviewers gave five stars and are verified owners. Two reviewers say the aluminum differential height inserts smoothed out drivetrain binding or improved a transmission problem after installation. One reviewer bought them to replace stock composite parts and strengthen the drivetrain on an SC6.1 drag conversion. Another reviewer had not yet run the aluminum inserts, having used plastic ones for two races without issues, and planned to wait until the plastic wore out before switching. Reviews are few and short, and no drawbacks are reported.

  • + Smooths out diff binding after install
  • + Upgrade over stock composite inserts
  • + Easy-to-read part numbers versus plastic
  • − Limited long-term durability feedback
