(**UPDATED**) This is not a complete hardware kit. You need four 3x10mm grub screws to do both front and back anti-away bars, but the kit only comes with 2. You also need 8 ball cups. Your Car kit comes with 8 of these but 2 are used for the steering link so you have to buy more of these also, and AE only sells them with a complete set of ball cups for $10 Part# ASC91820.(**UPDATED**) If you are using the jconcepts aluminum front camber link bulkhead (JCO2568-1) the included 2.5x6mm Button head screws will be too long. You will need to buy 2.5x4mm screws. The hardware kit also comes with two retention collars one is black and one is blue. They seem to have the same dimensions with the exception of the black one having a slightly smaller inner diameter. Since the front uses smaller diameter bars it makes sense to put this one in the front, but I've seen youtube videos of people doing the opposite citing that it allows for less side to side play. I did not find this to be the case. No instructions to clarify this, and instructions provided in B6.1 manual does not specify. (**Update**) You do only need 2 grub screws, because the front anti-sway bar attaches to the arms using the anti-roll bar link that is included in your car kit. This looks like a servo spacer. I adjusted my rating up 2 stars for this but still not 5 stars due to lack of instructions. I'm putting these on a T6.1 which has no instructions in the manual, and no instructions are included with the sway bars or hardware kit. I had to look in a b6.1 manual to find out about the bar link.
Honestly, who would supply a hardware kit that doesn't have all the hardware? how are we to know when we were building the kit that in the future if you ever want to run anti-roll bars you need some pieces from the original kit? Ridiculous! No instructions at all, lots of swearing trying to figure it out. Expected a little bit more from associated. Honestly supply instructions it's not that hard! And if you're buying a hardware kit please supply all the hardware not half of it!
Pretty crappy to not include the necessary anti-roll bar link (91820) parts in this.
THIS IS AN INCOMPLETE ASSEMBLY. It doesn’t include the required plastic end links to complete or assembly steps. It would be aceptable with this; now its more time wasted. Its also a dirt merchant shame to have to go to another website or YouTube for installation instructions. In order to complete # 91823, 91822, & most important 91820 is needed. Just for this dumb scammy marketing crap I am so done spending money with Associated ruining my hobby!
Reviewers agree the Associated B6.1/B6.1D anti-roll bar hardware kit is incomplete for anti-roll bar installation. Multiple reviewers say required parts are missing, including grub screws, ball cups, and plastic end links (part 91820), and that the kit lacks assembly instructions, so owners must buy extras or consult outside sources. One reviewer notes that the included 2.5x6mm button head screws are too long when using a specific aftermarket JConcepts front camber link bulkhead, requiring 2.5x4mm screws instead. Another reviewer reports the kit includes two retention collars in different colours with apparently identical dimensions. Ratings range from 1 to 4 out of 5, and the reviews consistently focus on missing components rather than the quality of the parts supplied.
- + Retention collars included in two colours
- − Missing grub screws for anti-roll bars
- − Missing ball cups; some must be bought separately
- − Required end links (91820) not included
- − No assembly instructions provided
