Needed a gear diff for my B6 laydown. This kit worked perfectly in my situation. No shims, no slop, fit with no issues.
Does not fit in B6.1D 'Lay-back' transmission! I tried with my new B6.1D and this diff IS TOO WIDE to fit in the Lay-back transmission case. The 'Lay-down' transmission case that it is designed for must be substantially wider than the Lay-back transmission that comes with this kit. Don't waste your money. I am guessing that no one tested the gear diff in the Lay-back transmission before. I expected more from Associated.
I installed it in my SC6.2 and it fit perfectly. It survived the whole 8 hr race day without issues and extremely smooth and quiet compared to the ball diff that blew up almost the second I raced it. SO far, great product.
Have had this diff in my SC6.1 and B6.1 with a layback and a laydown trans with ZERO issues. Is a must for extremely high grip of any type.
Absolutely the Best as is all Associated products.I’ve used them in stock b6 series and all my oval cars.Great product
Reviewers mostly report that the gear differential kit fits and performs well in Team Associated B6.1, B6.1D laydown, and SC6.1 or SC6.2 chassis, with several noting smooth, quiet operation and durability through a full race day. One verified owner reported that the diff is too wide to fit the lay-back transmission case included with the kit, saying it only fits the lay-down case, and criticised the product for this. Other reviews do not mention fitment problems with the lay-back case. Reviewers agree the diff is well regarded among Associated products. Overall, the sample is small and includes one fitment complaint.
