About this part

The Team Associated RB10 RTR 1/10 Electric 2WD Brushless Buggy Combo includes a Reedy Compact Balance Charger (ASC27201) and Reedy 7.4V 2S LiPo Battery with T-plug (ASC751). This buggy was engineered using Team Associated's vast knowledge and success in the 1:10 scale 2WD racing category. Since the introduction of the RC10 in 1984, the Team Associated RC10 buggy platform has won 13 of the 18 I.F.M.A.R. World Championships contested since the class began. You now have the chance to drive a buggy derived from this race-winning heritage with the beginner-friendly, capable and powerful RB10.

The RB10 buggy roars to life with a water-resistant high-power Reedy brushless speed control, 3300kV brushless motor, a 2.4GHz 2-channel radio system and the Drive Vehicle Control (DVR) receiver with a built in gyro. The DVR system is able to be tuned to different settings that will allow for more or less gyro control. The RB10 is equipped with the Reedy metal-gear, digital high-torque servo, and a water-resistant enclosed receiver box. All of this sits under the outstanding factory-finished off-road buggy body with wing. The RB10 will keep you accelerating and cornering with the included aggressive off-road treaded tires and lightweight 12mm hex wheels.

The RB10 will perform on most surfaces you throw it at, from asphalt to dirt as well as any prepared track surfaces. This buggy makes for a great basher and a good platform to try your skills out on the track.

I got this strictly for practice days at an outdoor dirt track with no interest in racing. On 2s it was pretty slow but could clear all but the largest of jumps. It was completely stock except for Proline Holeshot tires. On 3s it’s really lively and I enjoyed that much more. If you want to race I’d look at other options but as a non race option it’s been tons of fun on the track. Eventually I plan to change out the electronics but no hurry for now. Quality seems pretty good, and it was well put together. The only one negative was it came out of the box with the antenna tube broken but I made it work, no big deal.

I am getting back into RC cars after 30 years and am very impressed with how fast these cars are now. In the 80s I had a Grasshopper and in the 90s I had a Traxxas TRX-1. This is not the "top of the line" but it works well even with a few upgrades (3s battery and bigger pinion).

I’m new to the RC world. I wanted a RTR because I wanted to play with it right now. Didn’t want to build the kit. I have one big gripe. I cannot make this car go straight. The trim is so sensitive you either drift right or left. I’m not a great driver so you have to attribute some of that to me but I had another person at the track drive it for me. He couldn’t do much better. He says the servo is too slow so I’m ordering a new servo and I got a new NB 4+ to get better control. I gave the car 3 stars. That may be low and I’m expecting too much from an RTR car. I give AMAIN Hobbies 10 stars for customer service. I had a problem with the NB 4+ . Jose C spent an hour with me on the chat line helping me try different ways to bind the transmitter and the radio. In the end he is sending me a new radio. These guys will get all my business from here on out. Buy your stuff here, I’m going to.

What reviewers say

Three verified owners rated the RB10 RTR Combo between 3 and 5 stars. Two reviewers were satisfied, with one describing it as fun for casual practice rather than racing; they noted it was lively on 3S batteries, though slow on 2S. One reviewer reported a broken antenna tube out of the box. The 3-star reviewer, new to RC, reported that the car was hard to drive straight because steering trim was overly sensitive, and felt the stock servo was too slow, though a different driver also struggled. Reviewers agree the car is a fun, well-built option for non-racing use. The main disagreement concerns handling and the stock servo, with one reviewer expecting more from an RTR car.

  • + Good build quality
  • + Clears jumps well
