What sets the RC10CC apart is its race-winning engineering. Equipped with long-throw, fluid-filled racing shocks featuring machined alloy cylinders and drill-blank shafts, the RC10CC's suspension is finely tuned for maximum traction. The A-arm/Ball joint design ensures precise adjustability for camber, caster, ride height, and spring rate. It also includes an adjustable VariLok ball differential with a low center of gravity design! With exceptionally perfect ground clearance and a low center of gravity, the RC10CC delivers superb balance and performance!

The RC10CC Classic Clear Edition is a nod to the vision of Team Associated's founder, Roger Curtis ("RC"), and the iconic RC10. As a faithful reproduction of the World Championship-winning design, this kit changed the world of RC off-road racing. Featuring a rigid alloy monocoque tub with modular 3-piece clamping wheels, making assembly and maintenance effortless!

To get a head start in the competition, the RC10CC boasts independent suspension with coil-over shocks for a smoother ride over rough terrain. Precision-molded, nylon suspension components are ready for customization, allowing you to personalize the look of your RC car. The A-Arm/Ball joint design provides dynamic tuning options for static camber, camber rise, caster, ride height, and spring rate, ensuring it can adapt to any track. The full race rear suspension features a durable dogbone and stub axle drivetrain with pinned modular wheels. With an integrated motor/heatsink for protection, the RC10CC Classic is ready for action and it is compatible with 6-cell NiMH and 2S LiPo battery packs, making it versatile for different power sources and terrains!

NOTE: While the clear parts exhibit greater strength compared to SLA and are technically drivable, this kit's primary purpose is as a showcase item for your collection. The polycarbonate clear components are exclusively included in the kit and will not be offered for individual sale.

I just looked at it. I don't have one. It looks really nice. If it's an equal quality as the original then I'd say for 320. It's a great deal

Never would have guessed a see-through RC10 would exist, but it does, and it's excellent. We were lucky enough to build one for AMain and it went along without any hiccups and it builds fast, almost too fast, so its good to pause and savor the little moments. Overall the build was smooth, entertaining and a trip down memory lane. The only issues were tight threading into some of the clear plastics, and the same with threading the ball cups onto the turnbuckles, and then the kit uses SAE hardware, requiring SAE tools to build.

It was great to build a new in box rc10. I was building this as a shelf decoration and just to be able to build a new in box rc10. I'd only recommend this kit to people that have experience building rc10s. The directions are the newer style directions that omit the text descriptions of each step the original directions come with. It's not always obvious the little details it takes to build this older design right. The directions call for the use of thread locker on various steps. Online reports from other builders state the clear plastics can not handle being exposed to thread locker and can fracture. I built mine without. Each of the 4-40 screw mounts should be pre-tapped. A main has the part https://www.amainhobbies.com/dubro-tap-drill-set-440-standard-metric-dub361/p14182 that should be correct. As well a proper hex driver should be used https://www.amainhobbies.com/mip-thorp-hex-driver-.050-mip9000/p14502 The hex keys included with the kit are not sufficient and simply are inappropriate to use with the clear plastics. With those pain points out of the way it was great to build an RC10 from new in box parts. The kit is compatible original Cadillac rc10 parts. It looks great fully assembled and feels sturdy. All of the parts have a quality feel to them. All of the steel parts of the kit have a finished applied to them to keep them from rusting when on display. While the suspension parts are made of clear plastic. The drivetrain is all metal and nylon. There isn't a reason why this wouldn't be able to run just fine. The kit looks squarely aimed at collectors and I fit in that category. I did overall enjoy the build and the novelty of it, more thoughtful directions would have greatly improved the experience. For the $399 price this should be a premium experience and it doesn't land there.

This RC10 model was promted as a display-only version, but I put one together and found that the clear plastic suspension parts still hold up pretty well if you don't go crazy over jumps. My personal buggy ramp is only about 6 inches high and it handles that okay. The build had some issues, like the clear parts being somewhat difficult to thread screws into, but I managed without too much fuss. The body mounts needed to be raised higher as well. I personally painted the wheels and the body to give it a more closer appearance to a regular RC10, because that's my preference. My only complaint is that the steering arm from the servo to the linkage should have been a turnbuckle instead of the wire set up.But you can fix that pretty easily if you want. Now, if you take it to an indoor rc track that is based on wooden ramps and carpet,or jump on asphalt parking lots, for instance, it might have some durability issues, especially with bigger jumps. But if you're a basher like me, and just want an RC10 to mess with, this one will do the job.And-if you do break something-you can always order regular nylon replacement parts from AMain-and they're not all that expensive.

Very happy with Amain Hobbies! They promptly send my RC10CC‘s (2 of them) when I ordered them. Unlike Horizon Hobbies!!! Which ended up just kept kicking the can down the road since November!!! With excuses that never … Thank you Amain Hobbies !!!

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally rate the clear-body RC10 Classic Collector's Edition highly, with most praising its nostalgic appeal and build quality, and several noting it is intended as a display or shelf piece. Builders agree the kit is fiddly: clear plastic parts are tight to thread and some reviewers say they handle thread locker poorly, so they avoided it. The kit uses SAE hardware, and one reviewer says the directions omit step text and that experience with RC10s helps. Some reviewers say the suspension holds up to modest jumps, while others mention body mounts needing adjustment and a steering linkage they would have preferred as a turnbuckle. One reviewer comments on the value of the price. Shipping and seller service received positive comments in some reviews. Reviews are few and mix build-experience and display-use perspectives.

  • + Nostalgic RC10 appeal
  • + Good kit quality
  • + Smooth, enjoyable build
  • + Fast shipping
  • − Clear plastic threads are tight
  • − Clear parts may not tolerate thread locker
  • − Uses SAE hardware
  • − Body mounts need raising
