I bought the Reflex 14MT recently. It’s a really nice 1/14 scale vehicle. It’s got front, rear, and center differentials. The center differential is what really makes the Team Associated Reflex 14 Series handle extremely well. This truck is well made and durable. It’s equipped with LED headlights, which if I swapped the radio, I’d put them on a switched channel to allow them to be manual turned on, instead of constantly on. The stock transmitter doesn’t have programmable functions like my normal transmitter. There’s a good amount of replacement parts available when something breaks. I have changed out a lot of stuff on a Reflex 14T that I have. This is basically the same thing with a few differences to make it a Monster Truck. It will definitely handle a wider variety of terrain than the Reflex 14B or 14T. The tires are larger and the ride height is taller. These vehicles can run 3S IF you replace the ESC which is less than $50. They’re stupid fast on 3S. I own two Reflex 14 vehicles. They are excellent vehicles for the 1/14 scale.
Just like the MT10 ,this truck has the speed and the durability . it's smaller than i expected but a great truck for stunts or bashing.
I wanted to love this...My 2nd time driving it (2nd battery) something in the driveline stripped out, pretty sure it's the rear diff. It's a fun truck for stunts off the Proline ramps, but for anything else it spins out really easily in dirt and gravel. The center diff probably needs some 20-30k silicone it it to let the front pull a little more. I'm sure the front and rear could benefit from the proper silicone oil too to make it where it doesn't spin out on anything other than pavement or grass. Another thing, the tires aren't great....maybe they would be ok with the diffs set up correctly, but good luck buying tires for this. Even if you want to use the factory tires and buy another set they are discontinued. I have several sets of 3" +/- tires that I bought for my Mini Kraton, Mojave/Granite Groms etc. from JConcepts, Proline & misc. Amazon brands, but they do not work. You have barely enough threads on the axle to put the nut on and then when you tighten it down the wheel rubs the hub. You would need extended hexes, and therefore extended axles to make most aftermarket wheels work. 8/3/26 Edit: A-Main is definitely the best, they helped me out with a new spur gear which is awesome since this is a known problem with this vehicle. I do want to follow-up a bit more though since I have now taken this thing apart to work on it. I have to say it is obvious this is a $100 vehicle that TA is trying to sell for more than double that. BEFORE YOU DRIVE THIS THING YOU WILL NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING: 1. Free up each hinge pin, they are so tight the suspension barely works. I polished all the pins and they were still so tight that I had to drill out the arms. Seriously, this is the worst vehicle I have ever had for this. 2. After the arms were fixed it was obvious that the turnbuckles were now binding. The easiest way to fix this is to gently squeeze the ballcup with the ballstud inside. I rotated around it with needle nose pliers and got them working really well. 3. After that you will notice the steering is still binding so you will need to back off the steering rack screws 1/4-1/2 turn. 4. The shocks were surprisingly good, but leaky so if you just tighten them up they shouldn't leak on you like mine did. 5. The diffs are NOT sealed, there is no seal!!! But they were in pretty good shape with plenty of grease in them. I needed to adjust them for my loose dirt track so I used Kyosho grease, this should be fine but obviously it would have been easier if they were actually sealed WITH A SEAL!!!!
Reviewers generally find the Reflex 14MT a well-built, fun 1/14 scale brushless monster truck, with praise for its speed, durability and the center differential's handling. One reviewer notes it is smaller than expected but suited to stunts and bashing. The main disagreement concerns traction: a lower-rated owner reports a driveline stripping after a second battery, the truck spinning out easily on dirt and gravel, and difficulty finding replacement tires. Reviewers also mention the stock transmitter lacks programmable functions, and one suggests a radio swap for switched LED headlights. Replacement parts availability is described positively by one reviewer. Only three reviews are available.
