Nice fast title car - quick to take off acceleration is nice and fun to play around with. Although the ESC needed calibrating when it arrived, but that was a minor fix not to take any ratings from the car itself. This is a fun fast little brushless RC - used with a 2s lipo

Everything I expected from AE and a little more. This little truggy is more fun to drive than I expected. The center diff makes it very predictable and stable in the dirt. I bought this to drive on a scale track in the backyard, I can't vouch for bashing. Motor gets wildly hot so much so that if you don't add a fan you WILL warp the center diff case and blow out the center bearings that you hear about. Radio and receiver are quality. Tires out of the box are great in the dirt, almost too good. The rears were worn out in one weekend. Tons of options in this 60mm x12mm hex tire size. AE accepts coupons so this car can be had for a good deal with the Amain coupons. I bought the metal diff gears and a spare spur and pinion but have not needed them at all.

First of all, 5 stars to Amain, still my #1 hobby shop. The front bearing on the center differential went out the first run. When it did it got hot and warped the plastic in the chassis where it seats, as this is part of the chassis the chassis will need to be replaced as well as the bearing. This led to the mesh for the spur/pinion and rear ring/pinion to be way off ruining all but the pinion. Once I re-build the vehicle with superior bearings and a few other bits I hope it'll be fine. Edit* I had a 30mm fan on the motor and also one zip tied to the esc, ran them both from the aux output on the receiver. Edit#2* Also, Mine came with 2 left rear hubs instead of a right and left. smh... whoever built mine at the factory got it wrong. Edit#3* Amain paid for the parts, of course, because they're winners and have always been 1st class for me. Having gone through the vehicle with new/proper parts and some tlc its a very nimble little rocket and now I know why everyone else loves it!

This little trigger rips! It’s got tons of speed and responsive steering. The throttle is a bit of a delayed punch but that’s not a deal breaker by any means. The car is sturdy and feels well constructed, plus you can get a whole bunch of team associated FT parts to hop up the ride if you want to make it into a mini racer. It flys pretty neutral and you can easily adjust your mid air vehicle flight angle with the brake or throttle. I have been very happy with it so far and plan to make it into my carpet rig for the winter season!

I really enjoy this car. I’m not crazy about the springs it comes with and am About to order some different ones. Even with the preload set as far as it can go the rear springs have almost zero tension. That’s really my only complaint! Well, wait. Ha. The reason I took one star. Mine does have a bit more cogging than I feel it should. Mildly annoying and could have been mitigated with gearing. But, they did something right, because I sure don’t regret the purchase!

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally praise the Reflex 14T RTR truggy for speed, acceleration, and fun handling, with several noting it is well built for the price and suitable for bashing or scale-style driving. Recurring problems include the brushless motor running very hot, which multiple owners addressed with a zip-tied fan, and one owner reporting a center differential bearing failure that warped the chassis. Other reports include an ESC needing calibration, a transmitter with a non-working steering trim, rear springs with little tension, and some cogging. One reviewer was unhappy with high shipping costs, which is not a product issue.

  • + Fast acceleration and speed
  • + Predictable handling from center differential
  • + Well built for the price
  • + Good runtime and fun to bash
  • − Motor gets very hot without a fan
  • − Center differential bearing failure reported
  • − Transmitter defect on arrival in one case
  • − Rear springs too soft and some cogging
