Great Kit BUT!!!! There are screws in each bag it seems that go to another area of the build. Plan ahead and get plastic bags to put the screws in from each parts bag and number them so you know when you need to use them again. Otherwise yer screwed! There are parts of the instructions that should have been done prior to when they appear. The anti-roll bars should be clipped onto the a arms as you're working on them not towards the end of the build way too hard to get your hands in there. You also need to trim a little hole in the center brace if you plan on running bigger than a 15 tooth pinion. DoRC has a video on YouTube
The build is not totally straight forward but it is still easy enough for beginners. I really injoyed building it almost as much as driving it. I definitly recommend this kit.
All in all this is a nice kit,everything fits well and the link rods are perfect out of the box,but this truck is never going to be a HD BASHER There just too many weaknesses like, HINGE PINS AND HOLDERS,DRIVE AXLES,DIFF INPUT CUPS and the MOTOR MOUNT are a few that I have encountered. This truck does have a spot on my rack because the damn thing handles better than just about every other MT I have driven,it is a thrill to drive this truck. Power wise try to be as conservative as you can, I overpowered mine.Also try to stay with the stock tires OR something that is no heavier. If you limit the heavy jumping you will enjoy this truck. Only time will tell about long term durability.
There’s nothing like putting a quality kit together! Tolerances are a little loose in the front and rear hub bearing fitment on my kit, but besides that the kit went together flawlessly
Is it just me or did the Redcat Kiaju have a baby? Huh, good platform. I’ve had “others” that performed well I don’t see why this would be any different.
