About this part

The Team Associated Rival MT10 V2 RTR 1/10 4WD Brushless Monster Truck has been designed to dominate the 1/10 scale monster truck scene. Its strength lies at the very core of this beast with its high-performance, 3S capable 3300kv Reedy brushless motor, fully sealed transmission, robust shaft drive, and center differential. Power is something you will never lack. We've got you covered with the cool factor, with the fresh body color scheme and shell redesign.

The RIVAL MT10 features a long-travel independent suspension that is managed by four fluid-filled, adjustable coil-over shocks, giving the RIVAL MT10 the ability to roll over just about anything in its path. Giant aggressive monster truck tires provide maximum traction, letting the RIVAL MT10 claw through the most challenging terrain with ease. The 4WD drivetrain includes three sealed gear differentials that transfer the power through durable slider-type drive shafts to both ends of the truck.

It really is a cool truck. It’s the perfect size for a yard bash and handles great for what it is. It’s my only basher right now, I own several race kits. I only give it 3 stars because on day two of running it, I have to replace the spur gear. The pinion came loose and chewed it up. It’s a $7 part available local but still it should not have happened. Locktite your grub screw before you ever put the battery in it.

This is a really great truck! I've had two issues with it - bad radio/combo (this was causing truck to surge randomly) and the input pinion screw at the front diff came loose. Amain support has been great, helping with warranty replacement parts for both issues. I now use a dumbo rc radio/transmitter and it literally made this truck better than out of the box, plus the range of the radio is awesome! Only downside is the steering trim is backwards for whatever reason, but not a deal breaker.

This truck's reputation as a durable 1/10 scale basher is well-deserved. I built mine from a roller chassis on Ebay and some spare electronics and tires, but I'm a regular AMain customer and wouldn't have hesitated to buy from them otherwise. I drive my trucks hard off-road and launch them regularly 10+ ft in the air. The MT10 has held up to everything I've thrown at it. It's lightweight and extremely tough, so I don't worry too much on the rare occasions when I don't stick a landing with it. One thing to be aware of --- 3S power is a lot for this truck. Its short wheelbase and narrow stance make it relatively easy to flip. This is great for stunts, but not so great for high-speed runs across rough terrain. You may want to run it on 2S unless you're prepared to challenge your driving skills. Either way, I highly recommend this rig!

What reviewers say

Reviewers broadly praise the Rival MT10 V2 RTR for speed, handling, wheelie capability and toughness for its size, and many describe it as a good first or all-around basher. Recurring issues include the steering servo being weak, loose hardware such as wheel nuts, centre caps and grub screws, and a loose pinion that damaged a spur gear in one case. Some find 3S power too much, making the truck prone to flipping, while others run it happily on 3S. One reviewer reported a rear axle failure within three runs. Several reviewers mention aftermarket upgrades such as RPM front arms, and some note the factory radio is basic and the ESC cannot be programmed directly. Several reviews are short or off-topic and mention customer service and ordering rather than the truck itself.

  • + Fast and strong performance
  • + Durable and tough for a 1/10 basher
  • + Good handling and wheelie ability
  • + Good value for the price
  • − Weak factory steering servo
  • − Loose hardware such as wheel nuts and pinion
  • − Can be unstable on 3S power
  • − Basic radio and non-programmable ESC
