Be aware this will NOT work with every electronics combination. It works great on my Element RC Enduro Sendero equipped with Associated Electronics TX/RX, but won't work in my Losi LMT with Spektrum electronics which was the intended vehicle for this purchase. I've spoken to another LMT owner who swapped in a Futaba RX/TX and then the speaker worked, I have yet to try this myself. I tried contacting Sense Sound a week ago with no response yet as to what the specific requirements are to make this work properly.
Very nice accessory for the scale trx4 bronco. Works and sounds great. Easy to install and mount. I fully recommend this for any rc
Purchased this unit. Installed as directed. FRIED MY "THE TOP OF THE LINE RECEIVER, ESC & ALL WIRES WENT UP IN SMOKE... in less than a second.
Sounds are a little tinny but it sounds good and gets more than loud enough. Be aware if you are using a power system with FOC or speed matching that it will not sound like you have to throttle up to get up hills.
Thanks amain. Works as should would buy again!!!!
Reviewers generally praise the ESS-Dual+ engine sound unit for its sound quality, loudness and easy installation on Element and Team Associated platforms, including a Trailrunner and a Bronco. Several describe it as easy to use across different cars. However, one verified owner reported that the unit failed and destroyed the receiver, ESC and wiring after installation, while another reported it would not work with a Losi LMT using Spektrum electronics, and the reviewer had received no response from the manufacturer about requirements. A reviewer using FOC or speed-matched power systems noted the engine sound does not respond to throttle on hills, and another found the sound a little tinny. Compatibility with electronics combinations appears to be the main unresolved concern.
