sound is good! could be louder lol, small enough to mount about anywhere. Only thing I didn't like is the sound system automatically turns off when Idling after about 5 seconds. However! I found, at least on the koyosho Fazer mk2 70 chevelle I installed it in, that I could adjust the throttle trim slightly in the reverse direction and now it will idle albeit a little higher RPM, until I turn it off or turn the throttle trim back to neutral position and it will shut off automatically again. The cool thing is that when I start to move the car forward now the idle drops slightly, then speeds up almost like your letting out the clutch on a real car lol. Very cool! It took me awhile to learn how to install sound files on it but I finally figured out how to get that accomplished now.

This sound system is excellent. I'd like to see a reverse horn added in a future release. I installed it on a 1/14 Tamiya truck

Awesome for Losi nascar they have all the sounds you need plus you can make your own custom sound we used as a pit stop sound effect on channel 3. Sounds so good when paired with car’s manufacturer my chase Elliot is using the Chevy nascar Tony Stewart car sound file but they all sound good. Mount inside of body under top roof double lock tape solid.

Bought this for my Traxxas UDR I wouldn’t work with the Traxxas esc. It works with others just not that one as far as I know. Was very disappointed

What reviewers say

Four verified owners rated the ESS-One+ between 1 and 5 stars. Reviewers praise the sound quality and the compact size that allows mounting in many locations, with one noting the option to add custom sounds and use it as a pit-stop effect. One reviewer used it on a Losi NASCAR and paired it with the car's sound file. A recurring issue is that the unit automatically shuts off after about five seconds at idle; one owner worked around this by adjusting throttle trim. Another reviewer requested a reverse horn in a future release. One reviewer reported incompatibility with a Traxxas ESC on a Traxxas UDR and was disappointed, though this owner noted it works with other ESCs. Volume was described as somewhat quiet by one reviewer.

  • + Good sound quality
  • + Compact, flexible mounting
  • + Custom sound option
  • + Works well with Losi NASCAR
  • − Auto-shutoff at idle after about 5 seconds
