About the 22X-T
Advanced Laydown Gearbox for Quick Maintenance
The freshly engineered laydown gearbox simplifies drivetrain maintenance by allowing quick access to the ball differential and idler gear — no full teardown required. This makes it faster to tune and service your truck between runs. Multiple differential heights are supported, giving racers the flexibility to fine-tune traction and weight transfer for any surface. Because the gearbox serves as a mounting hub for the suspension, its robust and efficient design is key to the 22X-T’s consistency.
Elite Suspension and Steering Tuning Options
Handling is a standout strength of the 22X-T, thanks to an optimized steering geometry and multiple tuning options like variable king pin offsets, adjustable caster inserts, and wide/narrow spindle locations. Updated front and rear arms complement the lowered shock towers and buggy-length shocks, giving the truck a lower center of gravity for greater cornering speed. Carbon fiber shock towers and larger 13mm G3 big-bore shocks with matching springs ensure plush landings and precise response, no matter the terrain.
Precision Chassis and Pro-Level Adjustability
A hard-anodized 2mm 7075-T6 aluminum chassis forms the backbone of the 22X-T, lengthened and tuned to perform on today’s higher-grip surfaces. Adjustable kick-up (20°–25°), rear pivots for toe and anti-squat, and a built-in motor fan mount give racers all the tools needed to adapt and dominate. From its adjustable battery tray to its Super Heavy Duty Slipper and aluminum upgrades throughout, the 22X-T is engineered for maximum tunability with zero compromises.

Issue with clearing steering linkage at the servo. Tried spacing servo(s) in/out, up/down at the mount, tried different horns but ended up having to take some material out of the Top Bridge Plate… I mean it is what it is and being a Losi guy I’ll make do but what’s with that? Some proprietary servo used in the design that us plebes aren’t privy to? Racing hasn’t started yet so hopefully I can come back and bump the stars up cause I really want to love this rig. From what I see the rest of the design looks really well thought out. Plastic is on the “crispy” side. Sharp MIPs and hand setting recommend.but after they’re tapped they adjust nice. The build has always been 90% of the enjoyment for me and when a kit doesn’t completely fall into place it’s a little disappointing. Hopefully others don’t have the same issue and it’s just my dumbassery. Initial parking lot shakedowns tho look very promising hence the 4 out of 5. Whenever you’re dialing back transmitter settings always feels good after a build so overall I’m pleased! Can’t wait for carpet season!
No more distributed in Europe... So the cost of the car is very huge, considering the transportation (and the additional fees from transporters) and the added VAT => 630$; for a car that has no wheels and no body. The car itself is easy to build; but there are some issues on the front end : the diameter of holes for hinge pins are much too big on the front arms; there is a lot of freeplay in the assembly, for example the wheelbase move freely of 2 to 3mm due to rotation of front arms on the inner hinge pins; outerhinge pins freeplay make the caster angle also not accurate concerning the value. There are no more metallic inserts inside the plastics, meaning that the durability of plastics will not be so good. 22T 4.0 was build from a much higher quality level in my opinion; did Horizon changed its supplying source?
Love this truck 22xt has built a great truck this time. Love racing it off-road carpet and dirt.
This is my first stadium truck have ever built suffice it to say im relatively new to the platform. That being said, i threw in a stock spec 13.5 motor and esc combo with a 160tbl servo and it drives great. Its super fun and very consistent for a stock setup. Reason for me rating low is because of some parts that should have been metal in the first place have been made with plastic. I only took my truck out to 2 track days and i broke the front bulkhead. No issue that i would have to replace a part, i understand I'm not a professional driver and sometimes freak things happen, but im not the only one that’s dealing with that part breaking. It seems the plastic that it was made of was just way too poor of a quality and tons of people broke them as well. That being said, i looked to replace it with the aluminum upgrade but those are out till april next year. So i guess it seems my truck is gonna have to sit out for a couple months. I’m aware there is a brass one i can replace it with but i don’t want to add undo weight.
My second real racing kit I've ever built. My first one was a new Losi 22x AC. So essentially the same build. I love the truck! My local track races indoor on astro and it does great there. I'm a relative new racer and can consistently make it into the A-main with this truck. I run it basically box stock settings, except different springs and a front swaybar. Now the kit isn't 100% perfect, but thats okay IMO. The stock plastic front bulkhead will break right away, you'll need to get a metal one. Everyone talks about the shocks leaking, and my 22x buggy rear shocks leak, but for some reason my 22x-t shocks haven't leaked at all after 2 race days. Maybe it's because I built them better the second time round? The servo is also a tight fit, and depending on what shims/spacers you use, the servo horn might touch the bellcrank. Just need to tinker with it so everything clears. My biggest complaint might be that it didn't come with a gear diff. I had to buy that separately. They really should have made two version of the truck like they did with the buggy: an AC version and a DC version. If the truck had the option to come with a gear diff, came stock with a metal front bulkhead, and had more confidence-inspiring shock o-rings, it would be a perfect kit. But overall fantastic fit and finish. The car drives great, looks great, and is fast! If I could give it a 4.5/5 I would. But I can't, and 4/5 seems too low, so 5/5 it is!
Reviewers generally find the 22X-T kit well designed, quick to build, and fun to drive on stadium and carpet tracks, with several praising its fit, finish, and consistency. Recurring complaints include plastic parts that feel brittle, most often the front bulkhead, which some owners say broke early and needed a metal replacement. Shock leaks were reported by more than one owner, though one reported none after two race days. Steering linkage clearance at the servo required modifications for one owner, and a reviewer in Europe criticised high cost, front-end freeplay from oversized hinge pin holes, and the absence of metal inserts. Clutch ball bearings were reported as easy to lose. Ratings range from 2 to 5 stars.
