I grabbed a pair of these when I picked up my 8ight-XE Elite and 8ight-XTE kits several months ago as Ive always been a sucker for getting any optional or upgrade part available for every new kit I add to the collection. Some parts are impossible to notice any difference in performance as they are designed to improve durability where others can improve performance or aid in tuning the vehicles to specific conditions. Depending on where and how you drive your vehicles will depend on how certain parts will help or do anything at all. This part is obviously an upgraded that simply eliminates the possibility of breaking the stock plastic version, plus it looks much nicer even though its the older TLR color and doesnt match the newer black aluminum parts on the Elite buggy and XTE truggy kit. Overall its another great quality part from TLR that along with many others I would buy again if I purchase another X series TLR rig.
