great combo for the 4.75 trenchers add great tire flex and firm inner ring
These are worth a try for sure. I used ultra airdown on the front and airdown in the rear of my Capra. They worked awesome. I have since transferred this set to my cfxw and they are perfect for it, it's a lighter rig. My capra will be getting airdowns up front and yellow dot in the rear as it's now a heavier rig. They only get a 4 star rating as I did not like the 10 dollar USD price hike. Still cheaper than anti-foams I guess.
Great 2-stage foams! With JConcepts 'Landmines' not much my Capra can't get over. My rig is about 6½ lbs and I'm using blue dot foams in back and yellow dot in front. The wide outer foam can be trimmed to tune handling and is waterproof so, no worries if you like to vent your tires/rims. Sidehilling is very good, foams do roll over a bit (I narrowed them about 10-15mm) and that slightly hurts performance. They are a pain to install properly, the inner foam is very narrow and must be carefully centered in the tire (took me several tries). Overall, love these foams - dramatically improve handling and no worries about getting them wet!
Three reviewers rate these 1.9" two-stage foam inserts highly, with two giving 4 stars and one giving 5. Reviewers report good tire flex and firm inner support, with one noting strong handling on a Capra and good sidehilling. Reviewers mention they fit lighter and heavier rigs and that the outer foam can be trimmed to tune handling. Recurring issues include difficult installation, since the narrow inner foam must be centred carefully, and a price increase noted by one reviewer. One reviewer found the outer foam rolls over at the edges and trimmed it, which slightly hurt performance. One review did not name a specific variant beyond this listing; all three are tagged to the Yellow Dot variant.
