using w 1/8 buggy. was having issues w fan blades popping off 40mm fans mounted vertically wo a guard, couldnt get through 1 day at the track wo a failed blade. tried this smaller 30mm fan w the matching tekin carbon shroud mounted horizontally - blade on top blowing down w the guard and have made it 2 practice days and 1 race day w zero issues. running 1900kv 16T pinion, 44T spur max motor temp @ 100dF ambient: 155F. 30mm fan is still more than enough airflow, no holes in body.
