Got it in and soldered up how they said to and followed directions to a T, plugged in my 2S battery which was a trinity all within spec of the esc and motor next thing I know it fried my motor and wont work at all, it was a 160$ fantom 13.5T and Tekin will not respond to my emails nor phone calls, terrible customer service and a worst product. Not happy at all cause now I'm out 300 some dollars.
Excellent ESC! Everything you need for stock racing - fully tuneable, great performance! Even without a fan, this thing runs cool in my 2wd buggy with a 10.5T Gen 3 motor. Power delivery is smooth and strong. It's easily tuned using only the ESC but get a Hotwire 2/3 and you'll really wake this thing up and have more tuning options then you know what to do with. Tekin is US based and has excellent customer service - they are easy to reach by phone and typically email you back within 24 hrs. Honestly, nothing bad to say, you can't go wrong with this ESC!
I’m running this ESC in my Schumacher cat L1R with a icon 13.5 motor. It’s very smooth and is easy to program with the HotWire. It is small and the wire post are nice and easy to solder onto. I’m very happy with this unit. It is a solid choice for the price.
I am running this ESC in the stock 21.5 and 17.5 classes. Handles both motors with ease. Tekin has always stood behind their product with me and would highly recommend.
Do not buy their products absolutely have the worst customer service ever in this industry. Especially on a Friday just before your weekend of racing because they're closed. Send them an email on Friday today is Tuesday and I still haven't got a response. Don't try to call no voicemail no options to push nobody ever answers Just a recording telling you they're helping other customers. Is there only one person working? I have been buying Tekken products for decades now. From the early '80s. Battery chargers ESCs batteries will never buy another Tiken product again. Problem with that is is I have them in about 10 of my vehicles. I will be swapping them out and I will not be using theirs. Look on eBay you'll find Tekken products for sale.
