I'm only giving this 2 stars because of the motor. I was really excited knowing I was getting a good motor combo from Tekin. I just purchased a new Mp10E and went straight with this motor combo. I got it delivered the beginning of August and the motor and ESC was running just fine. The motor is built very good, strong and smooth. 09/19/2020 I went off a very small double and the ESC decided to say goodbye. It wasn't even one of those where you can hear the car bottom out. Im talking a small tap on the jump. The ESC's internals went out. No throttle response. Led codes 1,2 & 6,7 (Last two) I will not be buying another ESC and maybe even motor in the future. Just got a Hobbywing XR8 and the way its built is a much better quality then this plastic casing.
Awesome setup! This is my first Tekin and I’m switching all of my electronics to it from here out. Smooth and powerful!! I love the HotWire3 ability to link and make changes with ease. One of the easiest and user friendly interfaces I’ve encountered.
I used to like Tekin ESC's but with the recent failures I've had. I wouldn't recommend them anymore. The motor seems fine.
Was recommended Tekin for my first kit car build. Went with their electronics. The servo stripped gears in a week. And I’ve now had 2 esc/motors die within a month.
Awesome power system. Super smooth and tons of tune ability when paired with the hot wire. The 1900kv is perfect for 1/8 scale buggy. Still has heaps of power with very little timing in it. Fits really well in my RC8B4.1e. Update, First the esc gave up the ghost, and then the rotor failed in the motor. The parts didn’t even last a season. Great stuff, just don’t expect it to last a season of racing.
