The Difference is in the Design
Tekin servos are crafted from the highest quality materials available. CNC Precision Cut gears provide an extremely smooth and efficient drive train. 6061-T6 machined aluminum 3-piece o-ring housings provide strength and protection from the elements while the finish quality and design are second to none. Sleek chamfered edges and bold lines combined with a matte anodized finish are sure to accent any build.
Included with the T-180 Lo-Pro Servo is a machined aluminum Vector 25T servo arm.
Advanced Technology:
- Digital Magnetic Position Encoder (DPE): Our servos use Digital Magnetic Position Encoding (DPE) rather than a standard potentiometer, which gives Tekin servos industry leading accuracy, linearity and consistency.
- Accuracy: Precise linear movement through the entire motion range with less than .2 degrees of deviation from start point to end point make Tekin the superior performance product. Low deviation DPE technology translates to pinpoint accuracy not found in other potentiometer servos, which tend to wander and center poorly and get worse as they age. Tekin is built to last at peak performance.
- Linearity: Potentiometer servos can be up to seven degrees non-linear from end point to end point, creating a disconnected feel from your transmitter. Tekin servos eliminate this disconnect, giving you a linear feel and more precise control over your servo movement and position.
- Consistency: Performance is important but we are all about consistent performance. Potentiometer performance drifts due to many variables; heat, age, component quality, etc. DPE is a rock-solid, repeatable and consistent technology bringing an unmatched consistency to Tekin servos. Tired of constantly trimming your servo and having response feel different during times of longer usage? Tekin servos are the answer.
- Efficiency: Accuracy drives efficiency. A servo that has to work less to center or stop without overshooting position is using less energy. This means less heat build-up, less component fatigue and longer life.
- Adaptability: Tekin Servos come with a series of unique features; DPE technology lets you set the center point anywhere, and servo travel limits can be set without reducing the End Point Adjustments (EPA’s) on your transmitter. Most servos are limited to 90° travel in each direction with a physical stop point; DPE means that Tekin servos can be programmed to travel beyond 360°-- up to 5 full rotations in each direction!
- Element Proof: Dependable, no matter the terrain. Element Proof Tekin products are designed to handle water, mud & snow within reasonable restrictions. While we are not afraid to take on the elements, submerging is not recommended.

After taking a 5 year break from the RC hobby to do responsible things like start a career and buy a house, I came back in August of 2018 with a bang. Over the next 2 years I had built 4 1/8 Tekno kits, 2 1/10 Tekno's, 3 TLR 1/8 kits, 5 1/10 TLR's, 2 Associated 1/10 kits and a couple crawlers. Every rig prior to the last 3 Ive installed Protek 160 and 170 series servos which have been perfect, but when I grabbed my B6.2 in Septemeber I decided to try the Tekin T-120 and I was blown away with the quality and precision of it. A couple weeks later when I bought a Tekno EB410.2 kit I picked up this Tekin T-180 and just like the 120, its the perfect servo for a 4wd 1/10. Unmatched quality, machine work and absolutely zero slop in the gears. The aluminum case looks amazing to top it all off.
-1 Do not buy their products absolutely have the worst customer service ever in this industry. Especially on a Friday just before your weekend of racing because they're closed. Send them an email on Friday today is Tuesday and I still haven't got a response. Don't try to call no voicemail no options to push nobody ever answers Just a recording telling you they're helping other customers. Is there only one person working? I have been buying Tekken products for decades now. From the early '80s. Battery chargers ESCs batteries will never buy another Tiken product again. Problem with that is is I have them in about 10 of my vehicles. I will be swapping them out and I will not be using theirs. Look on eBay you'll find Tekken products for sale.
This servo is awesome. I love the programmable features like the ability to re-zero it instead of adjusting the servo horn and radio trim. The ability to set the endpoints based on the actual steering angle instead of using the radio is really nice along with all the other protection features including torque limiting, temperature, voltage and binding control. I also like that I can adjust the servo speed and turn it down if it is a bit too twitchy.
Installed this in a Losi 22 5.0 Elite DC and have say I haven't been disappointed with its performance. It's got great build quality, fast response, and plenty of torque. Programming with hotwire is a huge plus for seting endpoints, centerpoint, servo throw, torque, and you can even have variable torque so that when or if the servo binds torque can be decreased so nothing gets damaged in your rc or the servo. Its a little pricy but I would purchase it again without hesitation when performance isn't an option, its a requirement.
Great when they work. I bought 2. 1 went bad on our 2nd track day. Sent it in for warranty and they said the board went bad. The 2nd one the metal gears inside went bad after maybe 8-10 track days in 2 months(No serious or bad crashes). Tekin's customer service though has been great so far.
Reviewers generally praise the T-180's programmability, especially setting endpoints, centre point and throw via Hotwire, plus torque limiting and protection features; several describe strong build quality, fast response and ample torque in 4WD and touring car applications. Ratings are mostly 5/5, with two lower scores. One 2/5 reviewer reported a board failure under warranty and a second unit with stripped metal gears after about 8-10 track days, though they praised warranty support. A 1/5 reviewer criticised customer service for slow email responses and an unanswered phone line, and said they would replace the brand. Reviews are mixed on durability and support, while performance and features are consistently praised. Sample size is small.
