This truggy kit is awesome. Very well built and thought out. Shocks are buttery smooth. I would like a little more room on the electronics side of the chassis. I run the hobby wing xr8 plus and it barely fits. The quick access diff setup is great and easy to inspect your diffs. And I really appreciate the pill setup for the A arm pins. Love tekno rc and how well their kits are made.
Tekno kits are always easy to build and super high quality. I don't have any experience with the 2.0 truggy, or any other truggy, but this has been easy to drive. Took it to Southern Indoor Championship, qualified into the A Main on nearly box stock setup. This is my second Tekno, and I'm happy with it.
One of the best racers. It was an easy build. Derections are clear and everything fit without modifications.
Please do not try to run this truck on 6s for extended periods of time. First off, if you are used to Arrma Kratons 6s, you will find the battery compartment a bit snug on this vehicle. Second, the drive train was not designed for 6s. I have had a slew of problems with stripping the rear pinion and ring gear on hard accelerations. I am now in the process of upgrading to metal diff. cases and metal housing units for the front center and rear. ON the plus side this truggy is very precise easy to run, and fun to drive. But its made for really the track only and 4S MAX.
Great 1/8 electric truck out of the box. You don't have to build it with select parts from another manufacturer, to make it competitive.
Reviewers broadly praise the ET48 2.2 truggy kit for its build quality, clear instructions and easy assembly, with several noting it fit together without modifications. Drivers describe it as precise and easy to drive, and one reports competitive results on near box-stock setup. Two specific criticisms recur: the electronics bay is tight, with one owner finding a Hobbywing XR8 Plus barely fits, and the battery compartment is snug. One reviewer reports stripping the rear pinion and ring gear on 6S and says the drivetrain is not designed for 6S, recommending 4S maximum and track use, and is upgrading to metal diff cases. Most reviews are five-star and verified; the lone 3-star review is the main source of drivetrain concerns.
- + Easy, clear build with detailed instructions
- + High build quality and fit and finish
- + Smooth shocks and precise, easy handling
- + Quick-access diff setup
- − Tight electronics bay, barely fits some ESCs
- − Rear pinion and ring gear stripped on 6S
- − Drivetrain reportedly not rated for 6S
- − Snug battery compartment
