It bragged about being adjustable with an app. Ya! Not so much. Thankfully my radio has servo adjustments. I could not get the app to work for me. Seems like they are still in the process of getting the app up and running. I made some adjustments on my radio to get the servo to work to my needs. Performance is so so. Fast, GLITCHY till I added capacitor. Time will tell. It’s a fasttech product so I don’t have much faith. I didn’t know that part till I did research of course. Looks cool. But the Dh1 is all black not like the aqua in the pic either. Hope it holds up. Drove mint at the indoor track.
I've been using 3 of these servos on the cyclic servo positions on my Tron 5.8 helicopter. Stock servo settings. They have performed very well without any issues. They survive a crash the bent the aluminum servo arm without stripping any servo gears. I am very happy with these servos on my 580 size Tron 5.8 helicopter.
Really good servo. Torque and speed are outstanding for a low profile. A bit noisy, mechanically limited and a plastic back plate are probably the only reasons it's not much more expensive.
I got the Theta Razor-DH1 Brushless Low Profile Servos (cyclic set) for my new OMP M5 build. Great servos! 2 small setbacks: 1) Just as I was finishing the final setup, one of the servos stopped working. I contacted AMain and their professional staff resolved the issue very quickly. I had my replacement servo within a few business days. Thank you AMain! 2) The Theta servos came with their own hardware, but I found none of it suitable for mounting in an Electric Heli (hard mounting). Plastic servo horns and rubber grommets with brass sleeves. I hope Theta re-thinks their hardware package in the future. I ordered a set of OMP M6 servo bushings (these fit std size servos). I also used OMP M6 clampable metal servo horns to complete the installation on my OMP M5. BTW - even though I was less that impressed with the servo hardware package. The actual servos are rock solid and I would buy them again. My OMP M5 flies great with these servos. I am running them at 8.4 volts.
Used over a year now and put in a rock rey with heavy wheels and tires. Used in harsh conditions, rain and long grass and works perfect and very strong and that's stock settings, can also program with phone and add more volts but never needed to. Amazing servo
Reviewers generally rate the Theta Razor-DH1 low profile high voltage servo well, praising its torque, speed and durability, including use on a 580-size helicopter and in a rock crawler with stock settings. One reviewer experienced a servo failure that was replaced under warranty. Points of disagreement include the app-based adjustment, which one reviewer could not get working, and early glitching that was reportedly resolved by adding a capacitor. Noise, a plastic back plate and mounting hardware unsuitable for electric helicopters were also noted. One reviewer reported the color differed from product photos, and one expressed doubts about the brand's origin.
- + Strong torque and speed for a low profile servo
- + Durable in crashes and harsh conditions
- + Stock settings perform well
- + Good customer support for replacement
- − Companion app adjustment problems
- − Noisy operation
- − Plastic back plate
- − Included mounting hardware unsuitable for electric helicopters
