About this part

This is a Traxxas 1972 Chevrolet Blazer Complete Body with Grill, a true representation of the 1972 Blazer Body that revisits the retro styles of old-school off-roading. Beautiful two-tone paint pairs a white top with Mariner blue paint for that classic 70’s style. Bright chrome trim with wood-grain detailing give a classy edge, and available TRA8166X rally wheels can be bought to truly finish this historic build. The 1972 Blazer body is compatible with 312mm wheelbase TRX4 kits.

This is a great body ……. ( it’s a little thin at the bottom ) it looks soooooo good and i find myself just looking at it from time to time. it has inspired me to do a whole build around it and it’s coming out great. It’s a great shade of blue and very detailed. They got a lot Right on this one.

Looks beautiful! Really easy to install light kit too. I am using this on a trx4 sport chassis that is heavily modified for performance and this body went on great. I had to be creative for sure but it’s a really nice body and looks amazing.

Really like the body. Really disappointed that it’s not a clipless one. I opted for the painted version in blue. Paid a lot for it. The body is the old style clip on body with body posts, and clips. The clear un painted version which is much cheaper, comes as a clipless body.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally like the body's appearance, describing the blue paint as attractive, detailed and well shaded, with one owner saying it looks excellent on a heavily modified TRX-4 Sport build. Installation of the light kit was reported as easy by one owner, though another found fitting it to a modified chassis required creativity. One reviewer noted the body feels slightly thin at the bottom. A recurring point of disappointment, raised by one reviewer, is that the painted blue version uses the older clip-on design with body posts and clips rather than a clipless mount, which they felt was a poor fit for the price compared with the cheaper clear unpainted version.

  • + Attractive blue paint and detail
  • + Looks very good on the chassis
  • + Easy light kit installation
  • − Thin at the bottom
  • − Painted version uses old clip-on mounting, not clipless
  • − Price seen as high for mounting style
