Purchased this product from another seller (Sorry amain). Defective out of the box. Tried charging Traxxas iD NiMH batteries and got error message that battery voltage was too low or high to charge. Traxxas support says its the batteries. Brand new batteries delivered less than a month ago and they can't be used? Maybe. And Traxxas provides no warranty of its batteries, so their respone is basically, sucks to be you. This total lack of customer support appears to be how Traxxas does business based on other sites. If you want to get into radio controlled models, DO NOT BUY Traxxas unless you have money to burn.

For someone very new to using Lipo batteries it works perfectly and takes away the worry

What reviewers say

Four of the five reviewers are positive, describing the charger as easy to use, quick, and well suited to beginners, including those new to LiPo batteries. The one-star review reports the unit arrived defective, with an error message when charging Traxxas iD NiMH batteries, and says Traxxas support attributed the fault to the batteries and offered no warranty on them. That reviewer also describes the company's customer support negatively. The reviews are few and the negative one concerns a purchase from a third-party seller, so the overall picture is limited.

  • + Easy to use
  • + Plug and play setup
  • + Charges faster than expected
  • + Clear display
  • − Error charging NiMH batteries in one review
  • − Defective out of the box in one review
  • − Support blamed batteries, no warranty offered
