These came bent and my new bearings and tires are wobbling badly you can actually see the axles wobbling. They’re three bucks a set so I’m hoping that Amain or traxxas will send me another set that aren’t bent. We’ll see
Build a Nitro Sport and converted the front to Hex over the Spindle style works great and tightens up the front a lot.
These are for the Slash Not the Drag slash. The part you want is from Bandit Part# TRA2437. Bandit parts were used to narrow the front end. You can verify this on traxxas by looking at the exploded front-end view for the Traxxas drag slash. I pointed this out to Amain a few days ago. They were going to get the page changed to reflect this. Amazon and a few others also have the wrong part number.
These are super weak and bend effortlessly, cmon Traxxas!!! Its simple! Use better alloy that has more spring retention and hardness! Duh!
Reviews of these front axles are mostly negative. Two reviewers report the axles arrived bent or bend easily, causing visible wobble in mounted bearings and tires. One reviewer says the listing is wrong: these fit the Slash rather than the Drag Slash, and the correct part for the Drag Slash is a different Bandit part number, with Amazon and others also listing the wrong number. One reviewer reports success converting the front end to Hex-over-Spindle style, which tightened handling. Reviewers agree on the fitment and quality concerns; the single positive review concerns a conversion use case.
