About this part

Consider this item a necessity because it facilitates fueling. The fuel bottle holds 500cc of fuel and includes a long, bent, blue-anodized spout for easy filling. A rubber cap and o-ring seal make it possible to temporarily store fuel in the bottle (fuel bottles are not meant for long-term fuel storage).

Cap pops off bottle, gasket is easily torn. I’ve had two and don’t recommend.

Works as intended. Used it for a race season with no issues.

Bottle cap does not tighten rendering it useless. Other reviews state same problem.

Not enough threads to hold the nozzle cap on. Therefore, it will not go on tight and spill all over the place. I recommend going with another fuel bottle besides this one, or the Team Associated one, even if it isn't found on Amain. Just my personal experience. Same thing happened with the Team Associated fuel bottle, so now I have two dysfunctional fuel bottles and will have to buy one on Amazon, NitroHouse or another online vendor.

Had high hopes. My old one from hpi worked great. It holds fuel. Makes it easier to refuel but lid doesn't fit the bottle very well almost like 2 different threads between the bottle and lid if not in the right spot it leaks or just pops off. I'll just end up gluing it on

What reviewers say

Reviewers mostly report the 500cc fuel filler bottle's cap failing to seal. Several describe the cap not tightening, popping off, or leaking fuel, and one attributes it to too few threads on the nozzle cap. A reviewer notes the gasket tearing easily, and another reports the cap fitting poorly, possibly with mismatched threads. One reviewer who had no issues used it for a full race season, and one found it holds fuel and is easy to refuel with. Multiple reviewers say they had the same problem with a second bottle, and some recommend a different brand. Overall, the sealing issue is the recurring complaint.

  • + Holds fuel
  • + Easy to refuel
  • + No issues over a race season
  • − Cap does not tighten or seal
  • − Cap pops off and leaks
  • − Gasket tears easily
  • − Poor cap fit and threading
