Best basher case made. Tough and no metal heat sink to get bent out of shape (been there and done that).
They're the manufacturer replacements, what you would expect.
For less then a third of anything else out there this is a good case, yes its stock but it doesn't get exposed to most of the rigors that other parts go through. Though with no heat sink for the motor and a gaping hole in the bottom, there is plenty of room for improvement. Also with the plastic motor mount natural tightening of the motor causes impressions on the mount and future adjustments can "slide" into the older mounting point, I've never really had a problem with that or the heat with my big motor and constant spur size changes.
Three reviews, all rating the Traxxas Gearbox Halves w/Idler Shaft 5/5. Reviewers describe it as a stock replacement that is tough and inexpensive relative to aftermarket options, and one calls it the best basher case made. One reviewer notes it avoids a metal heat sink that can bend. Recurring criticisms come from a single long review: the case lacks a motor heat sink, has an open hole in the bottom, and the plastic motor mount shows impressions from motor tightening, which can let future adjustments slide into the old mounting point. That reviewer reports no problems in their own use with a large motor and frequent spur changes. The sample is small, so these views are limited.
