4 stars on this Traxxas lipo checker/ balancer. I ordered it knowing some of my batteries are a few years old now and needed to be checked. Unfortunately this doesn't work on any other batteries but traxxas so that was kind of a bummer to find out. I have a couple traxxas batteries but a good hand full of Zeee and Gens Ace.
Idk just works great I guess. Also it is very nice to have and it works every time with no problems
Mine never worked. Plugged in several batteries and nothing. I guess it's hit or miss with stuff like this. I had a spectrum version of this which was great. Sold it with a car that I put up on eBay. (Sellers remorse big time). Traxxas quality, as always, is lacking.
Overpriced for what it is but at least they give you a few different leads. Don't really use it for the balancing feature. Comes in really handy for a couple of my Traxxas cars with updated (non-Traxxas) electronics. They will absolutely drain the battery to levels that I am not comfortable with if I drive till low voltage cutoff kicks in so it's a handy tool to have for a quick battery status check. Rating would be much higher if the price was more reasonable.
Add this to your Traxxas battery maintenance kit along with the ID charger. Good tool in your tool box.
Reviewers are split on this Traxxas iD lipo voltage checker and balancer. Several report it works reliably and is useful for quick cell checks, especially with Traxxas iD batteries and Traxxas cars with non-Traxxas electronics, and that it pairs well with the iD charger. Others say it only works with Traxxas batteries, not with other brands such as Zeee or Gens Ace. One reviewer reports it never worked with any battery tested. Price is criticised as high, and one reviewer notes the balancing feature is rarely used. A Spektrum checker is mentioned as a comparison by two reviewers, one describing it as having more options. Sample size is small and experiences vary.
