Picked it up for my 6 year old. It is as fast or faster than my 1/10 Summit. 6 vs 7 cell.. Did break a driveshaft in the front bumping a fence at full speed. Very cheap driveshafts almost like a Lego piece... Anyway we already ordered the steel upgrades... thats part of the fun. He loves the truck. Thank you...We will be bashing more this weekend with 3x4 action....lol
Awesome little truck. Only gripe wish it had a bigger battery and the charger doesnt seem to work. I got traxxas peak power charger system that can charge it faster.
Got it for my 3year old nephew it's a beast and parts are cheap love it
Awesome RC, definitely recommend if you're looking for something cheap but good and fun!
Fun to drive, but I'd suggest having upgraded aluminum parts on standby. I got the car for my son as a Christmas gift. Since then, we've gone through the following: 1 set Differential bulkhead 3 sets A arms 1 Drive Motor 1 set Front Shocks/springs. Not one i would buy again.
Reviewers generally find the Traxxas LaTrax Teton 1/18 4WD RTR monster truck fun and fast for kids and beginners, with several noting cheap replacement parts and a good value compared with store-brand alternatives. The blue RTR variant with 2.4GHz radio is the subject of all reviews. Recurring criticism concerns durability: one reviewer broke a plastic front driveshaft and described it as flimsy, and another reported repeated failures of A-arms, the differential bulkhead, the drive motor and front shocks, saying they would not buy again. Some reviewers wanted a bigger battery, and one reported the included charger did not work, with a faster third-party charger used instead. Reviewers suggest upgrading to steel or aluminum parts.
